Drew, I think you might have a permalink problem or something. Your links to the carnival submission page are dead.

I agree with what they are saying. However lets be clear. How could I not agree? No offense, but the ideas are broad stroke that simply will not lead to a sale for a realtor. It is akin to saying get a website. Um Ok. Now what?

What is more useful is to get to the real use of a blog.

What is the purpose of a blog?

For a Realtor a definition that is anything other than something that leads to making a profit, is not a business blog, it is a hobby.

Thus, what goes on a blog is that which will lead the blogger to profit. All else is a distraction to the reader.

It is this starting with the end in mind that gives the writer a laser focus instead of a fuzzy target that leads to much time wasted engaging in a hobby like activity-blogging for the sake of blogging, instead of blogging for the sake of earning more sides.

If that is distasteful to any real estate blogger, then they are simply not in business.

Another key distinction is that Inman Blogs, or my blog at http://www.houseblogger.com/houseblogger/real_estate_blogs/index.html are writing to BtoB not BtoC which is what a Realtor should be about. Yet, most Realtors emulate the BtoB's as they are the ones you might find when doing the broad searches like :real estate blog".

You guys made a great point, honesty is the key. I really enjoyed the video blog, sometimes people would rather hear comments than to read them.
